Pilots

Between November 2024 and May 2025 the Food Data Collaboration ran two pilots of our technology in live commercial settings. These pilots connected Shopify and the Open Food Network together to trade a total of £5263.68 of produce from two producers, to three regional food hubs.

The inital research, development and pilot work has been supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. This funding supported the project for three years, beginning 21st March 2022 and ending 22nd June 2025, totalling £508,300.

During this time the Food Data Collaboration was fiscally hosted by the Open Food Network.
